Artistic experience

Gabriel Berrón is a designer and visual artist with more than four decades of experience in the fields of graphic arts, visual communication, and artistic creation. Throughout his career, he has developed a professional language that integrates strategic thinking, aesthetic sensitivity, and a deep understanding of visual communication processes.

27 years ago, he founded Imagencontacto.com, a communications agency through which he has collaborated with prominent companies and institutions such as Coca-Cola FEMSA, Santander, SuKarne, PepsiCo, Grupo Salinas, and Messe Frankfurt, among others. From this platform, he has led and participated in the development of numerous creative campaigns, both internal and external, for Corporate Communication and Human Resources departments, providing visual solutions that combine conceptual clarity with graphic impact.

His experience covers a wide range of disciplines within design: creation of visual identity, editorial design, animation, illustration, photography, character development, print production, magazines, books, and corporate presentations. Over the course of his career, he has completed more than a hundred identity projects and visual communication pieces for various sectors.

He graduated from the School of Design of Fine Arts, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design. At the same institution, he collaborated as a coordinator and taught undergraduate and graduate courses for four years, contributing to the education of new generations of designers.

He also holds a Master’s degree in Poster Design from the Akademia Sztuk Pięknych in Warsaw, Poland, one of the most recognized institutions in the international poster tradition. His work has received international recognition and awards in editorial design, consolidating a professional trajectory that constantly dialogues between design practice and artistic exploration.

On the other hand, he has dedicated a fundamental part of his time to oil and acrylic painting, creating works that reflect deep emotions and vibrant landscapes. His pictorial work has been presented in both solo and group exhibitions in Europe and Mexico.

He defines himself as an expressionist painter eager to experiment, exploring different media and materials such as oil, acrylic, India ink, pigments, pastel, collage, sawdust, cotton, and even toilet paper. For him, each work begins with an open attitude toward the creative process: a simple and honest “let’s see what happens.”

Free of academic prejudices, he intertwines techniques through textures, shapes, and colors under a personal style: orderly yet deliberately careless, where the viewer can recognize something without fully defining it. In his work, Gabriel Berrón reduces figuration to a minimum, hinting at horizons or recognizable strokes that sometimes retain a subtle echo of his training as a graphic designer.

Among the Mexican artists who have deeply influenced his sensibility are Rufino Tamayo, Manuel Felguérez, Vicente Rojo, and Carlos Mérida, whose artistic proposals and formal explorations have been constant references throughout his career.
